TWO PROJECTS IN FINLAND ARE AT THE RIGHT END

Nakkila Boilers Oy, the company of ENERSTENA Group in Finland, has signed 2 contracts. Both projects are for the delivery of biomass boilers plants equipment to district heating companies. The main fuels are wood chips with moisture of 20-50%, forest residues, bark and sod peat. 

The first contract for installation, by December 2017, of 8 MW (10 bar, +120 ºC) boiler plant with a 2,2 MW flue gas condenser and condensate treatment system was signed in 2016. Implementation of the project will allow for the boiler plant in Keuruu, Finland, to generate approx. 60-70 percent of the heat required for the city with population of 10 thousand citizens. Client – Keuruun Lämpövoima Oy, its activity: sales and distribution of heat energy. The delivery contains all the equipment to an existing old building (boiler with its equipment, ash removal, fuel storage equipment and conveyors, piping, insulation, platform, fans, ducts, flue gas cleaning including a cyclone and a bag filter) of a heating plant to an existing heating plant building as well as to a new fuel storage building supplied by the Client. Automation, electrification and building work are to be obtained by the Keuruun Lämpövoima Oy themselves. Plant provides heat to Keuruu district heating network and ensures the heat production in possible error situation in the main heating plant. Heating production in the plant starts in the end of 2017.

Another contract has been signed between Airanteen Energia Oy and Nakkila Boilers Oy, part of ENERSTENA Group.  Companies made a deal for the delivery of a 1,5 MW (10 bar, 120 ºC) heating plant equipment to Urjala.

The total power of the new plant is 1,5 MW and it is used to produce heat to the district heating network in Urjala. The new plant was built next to the current plant. Extension of the old 2,5 MW plant was also in the list of works to do. The delivery by Nakkila Boilers Oy, part of ENERSTENA Group, included a full set of boiler equipment with accessories as well as equipment to the fuel storage building: boiler, conveyors, plumbing, insulations, platforms, fans, ducts, etc. The customer delivery included electrification and automation as well as the buildings.

The works started in summer, new plant will start producing heat in December 2017.
