Due to LuminorINordea customer services migration, some bank services will be temporarily unavailable on the last weekend of June

Luminor bank in Lithuania announces that as a result of the Nordea legacy customer account migration, some bank services will temporarily be unavailable on the last weekend of June. The bank asks that you pay close attention to the availability schedules of various services and advises that you perform any essential payments in advance.

Although most services won’t be available for a mere 1-2 days, we highly recommend that you perform any essential payments before 26 June at 13:00. Legacy Nordea customers, whose accounts will be migrated to the bank’s unified system, are advised to withdraw some cash for this weekend.

The bank will migrate the accounts of 50,000 legacy Nordea customers. For these clients, the main changes will be: MasterCard and Maestro cards will be switched to Visa cards; Internet banking login identification will be switched to Smart ID, Mobile ID or code generator. Account numbers will not change.

Luminor customers whose data has been migrated to the bank’s unified systems will be less affected. Clients who have active Visa cards will be able to use them at ATMs and in POS terminals (in shops, restaurants, gas stations, etc.) throughout the weekend (27-28 June). However, paying by card in e-shops will be subject to limitations and we highly advise that you check this information.

The bank recommends that its legacy Nordea customers withdraw some cash before the weekend, as MasterCard and Maestro cards will be permanently blocked on Friday evening, 26 June, and new Visa cards will only be activated on Saturday afternoon.  New Visa cards have been sent by post on to all of the bank’s customers over April-May.

Once services come back online, customers with migrated accounts should start using the LuminorIDNB Internet banking and mobile app as well as their newly issued Visa cards. It is important to know that cross-border payments will be subject to a new SWIFT/BIC code – AGBLLT2X
